Superb piece of Edmonton Eskimos and Grey Cup history is this framed team photo of the 1954 champion Eskimos team signed by 37 members of the great Canadian football squad. The Eskimos beat Montreal 26-25 in a thrilling title game at Toronto's Varsity Stadium on November 27, 1954. Trailing by 11 points midway through the fourth quarter, Edmonton rallied to give the West its first Grey Cup win since 1948. Glenn Lipman's TD run capped an 85-yard scoring drive before Jackie Parker recovered a fumble by the Alouettes' Chuck Hunsinger and took the ball the length of the field for the winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter to give the Eskimos their first of three straight Grey Cup wins over Montreal in the mid-1950s. Five deceased members of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame have signed, including Parker, Bernie Faloney, Rollie Miles, Frank Morris and Bill Zock. Fellow HOFers Normie Kwong, Roger Nelson and Eagle Keys have also signed amid the bold original autographs lined in five columns on the bottom of the textured matte which surrounds the 8" x 13 1/4" Eskimos team photo. "Garneau Studio Edmonton" is printed on the the lower right corner of the matte which is mounted in a 15" x 19 1/4" wood frame. A truly historic team-signed Eskmos photo of one of Edmonton's greatest Grey Cup championship teams.
