Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Always intriguing is the history brought forth by mementos presented to Hall-of-Famers before they began their big-league careers. The legendary Hector "Toe" Blake was in his second of three seasons with the Hamilton Tigers when he led them to the Ontario Hockey Association championship in the spring of 1934. After firing 19 goals in 23 regular season games, Blake contributed three goals and four assists in four playoff contests as Hamilton took top honors. Splendid medal is engraved "Senior A Champions - Hamilton - H. Blake - 1934" on the back, where "Bailey 10K" also appears. In excellent condition, it'll be a fabulous addition to a vintage award/Blake display.
