Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Rick MacLeish became the first player to score 50 goals for an expansion team when he reached the milestone mark in the Philadelphia Flyers’ final game of the 1972-73 regular season to finish with 50 goals and 100 points. MacLeish’s signed game-used Sher-Wood P.M.P. 5052 stick has his name and number “19” stamped on the front of the shaft, below his original black tape knob with worn white tape covering it and the handle. An illegible factory date stamp on the back of the shaft is visible below the strands of fiberglass tape surrounding the bottom of the shaft. Rick has signed in black marker on across the heel of his original white tape job on the blade, which has cracks and chips along the bottom edge. This MacLeish gamer is otherwise intact and a fine addition to a Flyers/50-goal collection. Comes with an LOA.
