Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

Bobby Smith has personalized his autograph, "To Roger", on the front of the bottom of the unpainted part of the shaft of this white and blue Sher-Wood game used stick from his days with the Montreal Canadiens. A key offensive component of the 1986 Stanley Cup champion Habs, Smith got plenty of use out of this gamer which exhibits the faintest cracks towards the heel of the blade and some chipping on the bottom of the toe. Smith's original black tape job on the blade has worn through along the bottom, and his small white tape knob on the butt end remains in place with "Smith 15" stamped in black beneath it on the front of the shaft. The back of the middle of the shaft has a crack to note that takes little away from the stick's future as a great display piece from a Stanley Cup champion.
