Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
A stick used by two-time Vezina Trophy winner Charlie Hodge is featured in this lot of three vintage goalie sticks used by a trio of NHL netminders in the WHL. Hodge’s tape job remains on the knob, paddle and blade of his CCM Professional, the best in the lot with really only cracks at the tip of the blade to note. This trio of sticks was originally acquired from a janitor at the old Kerrisdale Arena in Vancouver who found them in the building. Also included are George Gardner’s Victoriaville – with his stamped name on the shaft misspelled “Garner” – and Chris Worthy’s Northland Pro, which has had cracks on the paddle covered by electrical tape. These two sticks look like they saw plenty of practice time with a number of cracks and tape removed from Gardner’s blade.
