Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Washington Capitals home jersey from the team’s first set of the 2000-01 season was worn by American forward Joe Sacco. This game-worn jersey with an intact fight strap and size 56 and CCM “Made in Canada” fly tags in the neck features good wear in the form of stick marks on the front of the jersey and all over both sleeves, as well as numerous repairs, including four on the back of the right elbow and another on the bottom of the left elbow. A patch sewn inside the rear hem states the jersey was “Customized by Cutting Edge Sports for the Washington Capitals, Doug Shearer, Equipment Manager, Set 1 2000-20001”. To note, the original nameplate was removed by the team. The current nameplate was produced by Cutting Edge and is lightly handsewn on to complete the jersey.
