Bill Guerin was 34 years old when he led the 2003-04 Dallas Stars in scoring with 69 points, including 34 goals and 35 assists. Bill, whose point total in his 13th NHL season was a career high, wore this Stars alternate jersey, which was introduced by the team that season as part of the NHL’s third jersey program. A rare find among game-worn jerseys, this shortlived style saw limited use by the Stars once it became clear that the alternate logo crest on the front –designed to represent the constellation Taurus – strongly resembled a uterus. Black airknit gamer by Koho has a size 58 “Made in Canada” Canadian flag fly tag in the neck, a Sport Maska laundry instruction fly tag sewn into the inner left seam, and an intact fight strap. Number “13” in white-black-and-gold triple twill is sewn on the back and both sleeves and Guerin’s surname is spelled out in individual letters of the same material on a nameplate sewn onto the back. To note are multiple loose gold, black and white threads on the “1” sewn on the back. A team repair on the upper left front near the arm and shoulder seams and light board burns on both sleeves show this jersey’s game wear. A MeiGray Group “NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004” patch is sewn inside the rear hem.
