Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

No stranger to the penalty box, gritty forward Paul Kruse wore this red Calgary Flames gamer during the 1995-96 season. This Flames road jersey stands as a testament to Kruse’s rugged style of play with lots of game wear plain to see including a variety of unrepaired cuts and slashes, particularly on the sleeves and cuffs. Size 56 fly tag remains in the neck which includes a team alteration. The Maska fly tag folded upwards and sewn over in the middle to strengthen the bottom half of the seam at the back of the collar, which has been let out along the top half. The jersey’s fight strap is intact and a team set stamp screened inside the rear hem reads in part, “Red Jersey #1 of 1”. Comes with an LOA on Flames letterhead signed by Lanny McDonald.
