Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
White Boston Bruins jersey is a recycled 1997-98 home gamer that was worn by Dennis Vaske during the 1998-99 preseason. Bruins COA signed by equipment manager Peter Henderson which accompanies this gamer with a nameplate change states that the 1997-98 game-worn jersey was issued to Vaske, who appeared in 3 regular season games with Boston in 1998-99. “Custom Crafted Official Boston Bruins 2nd Set 1997-98 Season” is screened in black inside the rear hem. Dried bloodstains dot the front of the jersey, particularly in front of the right shoulder. Stick marks on the left elbow and board burns on the right sleeve offer further evidence of game wear. Dean Malkoc wore #29 in 1997-98 when he recorded 86 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Bruins. Fight strap is intact and Center Ice Authencic, Starter and size 54-R tagging remains in the neck.
