Hubie McDonough wore this airknit Islanders home gamer in 1989-90, the first of his three seasons on Long Island. Acquired in a trade with Los Angeles at the end of November, the American center had 18 goals and 29 points in 54 games in his first of three seasons on Long Island. Team crest in tri-color tackle twill is sewn on the front, #39 on back and both sleeves is blue-and-yellow double twill, and surname in blue twill letters is sewn on a white nameplate. Size "54" is handwritten in faded blue ballpoint on the Maska fly tag in the neck and the fight strap remains intact. Game wear shows in stick marks on the front tail and both sleeves, blue paint transfer on the lower left of the back, a touch of red paint transfer on the right elbow and general soiling.
