Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

Superb vintage style All-Star game jersey is a tip-of-the-hat to the sweaters worn by the stars of yesteryear and this example was worn by Brett Hull during the 43rd annual NHL All-Star Game played in Philadelphia. Not only did Hull wear it, he excelled in it; playing with Wayne Gretzky, Hull set up Gretzky and then scored 2 himself to lead the Campbells to a 10-6 victory and win MVP honors. The vintage-style throwback uniform is a red/white/blue Maska Ultrafil with the maker's tag and a size 52 fly tag in the neck. The embroidered NHL 75th anniversary patch is sewn onto the front and a swell two-tone NHL crest sits on the chest. All other patches, numbers and "Hull" across the back nameplate are in tackle twill and sewn-on. A peek inside behind the crest reveals a big, bold Brett Hull autograph! The special shirt displays little to no game use, which is to be expected from a uniform made up to be for a single period during the annual extravaganza that is the All Star Game. The fabulous jersey was originally sold at a charity auction and will be accompanied by a huge package of documentation including a letter of authenticity from NHL Enterprises as well as photos from both the game and the auction detailing the chain of custody.
