The Nordiques knew what they were doing when they drafted the big Swede first overall in 1989 but then dropped the ball when they traded him to the Maple Leafs in a deal to get Wendel Clark in the summer of 1994. Mats debuted with Quebec in 1990-91, scoring 23 goals and 59 points in his rookie campaign and would go on to post bigger numbers the following year while wearing this hammered white knit jersey. The front of the shirt features a pair of bold signatures from Mats and superstar teammate Joe Sakic up near the NHL's 75th Anniversary patch. The lower front of the shirt is littered with stick marks and game wear and hundreds more marks can be found on the sleeves and back. This shirt is a mess of game wear! Everything is sewn on and the Maska Ultrafil label and size 54 tags are there in the collar.
