Chris Chelios saw his final season at the Montreal Forum in 1989-90. This heavy knit by CCM was worn by the Hall-of-Fame-bound blueliner that year before he moved on to a fresh start with the Chicago Black Hawks. The NHL shield on the hem, added for the first time in 1989-90 helps to date the shirt and the CCM logo sits nearby in red/red/blue but the company's tagging has been removed from the collar. Chelios' captain's "C" is up on the left breast, a duty he shared that single season with Guy Carbonneau. Game wear is easy to spot with dozens of smaller stick marks on the arms and lower front with a few swipes of red Forum board paint on the lower front hem. A circular patch of pilling turns up on the lower left front and more pilling appears inside behind the fight strap with loads more inside the sleeves.
