Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Finnish defenseman Joni Pitkanen used this Easton composite gamer while helping his country to a bronze medal in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic men’s hockey tournament. Pitkanen contributed a goal and two assists in five games for Finland, including a helper to set up Olli Jokinen’s game-winning goal in a 5-3 victory over Slovakia in the bronze-medal game at Canada Hockey Place on February 27. Easton SE16 has “Pitkanen” and “25” screened on the front of the shaft. Joni’s #25 is also handwritten in black marker on the front of his white tape knob. Pitkanen’s black bulldog tape job also remains intact on the blade with a puck gouge offering evidence of light but clear game use. Comes with an LOA.
