Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Swedish veteran Fredrik Modin wore this helmet while playing for his country during the 2010 Olympic men’s hockey tournament. A member of the 2006 gold medalists in Turin, Modin appeared in three of four games in Vancouver. He had one assist as the defending champions were surprisingly ousted by Slovakia’s 4-3 quarter-final win. Reebok helmet with an Oakley visor features “Vancouver 2010” decal on the front. Swedish flag decals remain applied to both sides of the helmet and yellow-and-white decals with Modin’s #33 appear on the back above another “Vancouver 2010” decal. This Olympic gamer is the correct model used by Modin during the tournament. Light game wear shows in scrapes and scratches, including a torn Reebok decal on the right side of the helmet. Tag inside shows this size medium helmet had a “06-Jan-2010” manufacture date. Comes with an LOA.
