Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Sweden’s Henrik Tallinder wore this helmet while playing for his country during the 2010 Olympic men’s hockey tournament. The Buffalo Sabres defenseman appeared in each of Sweden’s four games in Vancouver as the defending gold medalists went 3-0 in the round robin phase before they were stunningly ousted by Slovakia’s 4-3 win in their quarter-final at Canada Hockey Place on February 24. CCM helmet with an Oakley visor features “Vancouver 2010” decal with Olympic rings on the front. Swedish flag decals remain applied to both sides of the helmet and yellow-and-white decals with Tallinder’s #10 appear on the back above another “Vancouver 2010” decal. This Olympic gamer is the correct model used by Tallinder during the tournament. Light game wear shows in scrapes and scratches. Comes with an LOA.
