Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Russian veteran Sergei Fedorov brought these game-worn Warrior gloves to the 2010 Olympics, though they did not see game use during the men's hockey tournament in Vancouver. Likely used during Team Russia practices, these red-white-and-blue gamers with "Fedorov" embroidered on each cuff and #91 on both thumbs - blacked out by a marker - are not the model that he used while playing for his country. (Fedorov wore #29 during the Olympics.) Fedorov used this model with Washington in 2008-09 and these gamers clearly saw use that season, his 19th and last in the NHL. The left glove retains the two white plastic panels Fedorov had stitched to the outside edge which he wore through the end of the 2009 playoffs for added protection for his injured hand. Nice game use shows with marks on the outer thumbs and wear on the palms. Obtained at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, they come with an LOA.
