Vancouver 2010 official game puck was used during the shootout round in Slovakia's 2-1 upset win over Russia in the preliminary round of the men's Olympic hockey tournament. Jaroslav Halak made 36 saves during the February 18 game at Canada Hockey Place before stopping 6 of Russia's 7 shots in the tie-breaker, including Alexander Ovechkin twice. Pavol Demitra delivered the winner on the seventh attempt by the Slovaks, who went on a Top 4 finish, the best ever Olympic performance by the country's men's team. This Sher-Wood official Olympic game puck exhibits obvious wear, including a total of four small gouges around its edges, with a pair each on both the face and reverse. Comes with COA from Vancouver Organizing Committee CEO John Furlong and Gameday Auction featuring a holofoil which corresponds to the one affixed to the puck.
