This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Before he went on to score his gold medal goal for Canada at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Sidney Crosby delivered a key shootout winner against Switzerland in the men's hockey tournament's preliminary round. Offered here is an official Vancouver 2010 game puck used during the 10-minute overtime period in Canada's 3-2 win over the Swiss team at Canada Hockey Place on February 18. Switzerland held a 3-1 shot advantage in the scoreless extra period but was outshot 47-23 overall as Anaheim Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller nearly led his teammates to a second straight Olympic upset win over Canada. Vancouver 2010 Sher-Wood official game puck exhibits nice wear with marks on both the screened face and reverse. Comes with COA from Vancouver Organizing Committee CEO John Furlong and Gameday Auction featuring a holofoil which corresponds to the one affixed to the puck.
