Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Mysterious piece of international hockey history comes to us from a woman whose aunt married a man whose claim to fame (according to the aunt) was that he played hockey in the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. Found in an old trunk along with a participation medal from the St. Moritz Games, this piece is 1 1/2" in diameter, features a raised image of a hockey player on one side and "Villars Sports" on the other. On the interior of the tattered leather case is "Huguenin Freres & Co - Medailleurs - Le Locle (Suisse). No further details to go along with the Swiss-made medal, in EX+ condition.
