Fascinating 1970s Sweden jersey was worn by right winger Willy Lindstrom during international competition. Lindstrom played for the Swedish national team for two seasons in the mid-1970s, helping his country claim bronze medals at the 1974 world championships in Finland and 1975 in West Germany. Thin blue knit Team Sweden "Tre Kronor" sweater features a small, rolled-up "Anagra" manufacturer's tag in the neck. Lindstrom's surname is spelled out in yellow vinyl letters sewn directly onto the back of the jersey. The three crowns on the front and the numbers on the back and sleeves are more of a thin leatherette material. Original blue cloth string remains in the tie-down neck and the original garter-style fight strap remains intact. Game use includes extensive team repairs on the left sleeve near the yellow cuff and a slashing hole and mark on the left shoulder. A 12" x 7" outline of what was likely a sponsorship patch, which was removed, appears at the bottom of the back. Also to note are six tiny circular marks of undetermined origin located on the side of the right front of the jersey adjacent to the sleeve seam. Willy Lindstrom's signed LOA accompanies this classic international hockey jersey.
