Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Fun pre-war lot from Canada features 22 cards from World Wide Gum's "Big League Chewing Gum" sets of 1933 and 1934, often referred to as Canadian Goudeys. All low grade with the players' names penned or penciled on the front, with the exception of six which, however, are creased and no better than G. Most intriguing is the seldom-seen 1934 baseball game from Quaker Oats called "Ask ME". A complete set of 26 near-mint playing-like cards feature baseball trivia front and back, with instructions included. Also present, a '36 WWG card of Schoolboy Rowe (EX+ appearance but tiny paper loss) and '37 O-Pee-Chee #113-Trosky (F).
