Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
One of the finest players of his era and one of the grandest contributors our game has ever known, Art Ross is pictured here in his Haileybury sweater, the defenseman suiting up for the Ontario team in 1909-10 after Stanley Cup victories with Kenora (1907) and the Montreal Wanderers (1908). Attractive-looking example has some grade-lowering minor ink marks on the reverse and received Good 2 status from PSA, with a (MK) qualifier, the MK standing for marks. One of two Ross rookie cards in Imperial Tobacco's landmark inaugural hockey card set, it mirrors those of Cyclone and Newsy in importance/value.
