Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Deceased Hall of Famer Bill Cook's signature appears among the 20 original autographs from members of the IAHL Calder Cup champion 1938-39 Cleveland Barons that appear on this great vintage one-piece wood stick. Cook's large flowing signature appears towards the toe of the virtually bare blade which has a few strands of black tape at its very tip. Bob Gracie, Earl Bartholomew, Moe Roberts, Ossie Asmundson and Mickey Blake also signed the blade in pencil and Jim "Peggy" O'Neill signed the reverse. A near-intact "Sportsall Hockey Sticks" paper label remains in place around the shaft which is also signed by Hergesheimer, Duguid, Cunningham, Runge, Bob Blake, Hanson, Patterson, Foster, Berlett, Adolph, Fred Robertson, Bud Cooke and trainer Walter Robinson.
