Massive Turner Cup championship ring was presented to rugged forward Darren Banks to commemorate the 1996-97 Detroit Vipers' International Hockey League title. This substantial size 12 diamond and gold creation comes with its original wood presentation box and features a bed of a couple dozen diamonds surrounding the enamel painted Vipers logo displayed front and center on the face. The bezel features "IHL 1997 Turner Cup Champions" in raised gold. "Banks", the image of a hockey player and the number "24" appear in raised gold on the left shank. The right shank features "Road Warriors", three trophies beneath that, including the Turner Cup in the middle, and the Vipers' league-leading "57-17-8" regular season record along the bottom, all in raised gold. A couple of markings inside the band include a "10K" stamp. Banks, who played 20 NHL games with the Boston Bruins, has signed the bottom of the the 4" x 6" wood ring box, which stands 2" tall. The inside of the box features a gold-colored plaque with "Detroit Vipers 1997 IHL Champions Darren Banks" engraved on it and a round opening on the right side for the burgundy colored foam ring bed. A great opportunity to obtain a recent vintage minor league championship ring.
