The second of the New York Islanders' four straight Stanley Cup wins of the early 1980s is commemorated with this superb gold ring. Hall of Fame right winger Mike Bossy recorded 17 goals and 34 points in 23 Stanley Cup finals games over five straight seasons from 1980-84. This marvelous memento from the Islanders' Cup win over Minnesota in 1981 is a substantial championship creation crafted in 10 karat gold by Balfour. Vintage-period Mike Bossy size 10 salesman sample ring displays a pair of large solitaire cubic zirconia set into a brilliant blue stone on its face. "Stanley Cup Champions 1981" is proclaimed in raised solid gold lettering on the outer edge of the bezel, while "New York" and "Islanders" are cleverly spelled out in smaller raised gold letters on the inner top and bottom edges of the bezel. The left shank has "Bossy" in raised letters with the Islanders' logo in relief beneath it and the Isles' sharpshooter's number "22" in raised gold at the bottom. The right shank features a stylized image of the Stanley Cup trophy with the NHL logo behind in relief, with "NHL League Champions" in tiny raised letters within a shield at the bottom. "Balfour" and the company's hallmark are stamped along with the "10K" assayer's mark inside the band behind the face. Sample number ''SA 151642-2'' is etched on the inner band. In excellent-plus condition.
