This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
The Oilers' fourth Stanley Cup Championship remains bittersweet for fans in Edmonton as it also represents Wayne Gretzky's final moment in an Oilers uniform. Four substantial cubic zircons set into a bed of sixteen smaller stones are surrounded by the words "1988 Stanley Cup Champions" on the face of this stunning ring. The blue and orange logo of the Edmonton Oilers is prominently featured on the left shank with "Gretzky" and "99" above and below. The opposing shank proudly lists the team's championship seasons engraved into four raised Cups with the image of the motivational carrot. The replica ring, a faithful reproduction of the ones awarded to the players, fits a size 10.5 finger and weighs in at a substantial 42 grams. In perfect condition, crafted in Sterling Silver and plated in 14K gold with the jeweler's "925/GP" markings inside the band.
