Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

Joe Nieuwendyk was a huge part of the Calgary Flames' success during the 1988-89 season, one that ended with the Stanley Cup hoisted high over his head. Nieuwendyk scored an amazing 51 regular season goals and added 10 more in the post season. Joe took to the ice in Calgary during that championship year wearing this classic white CCM Air-knit jersey. The flaming "C" logo sits square in the middle of the chest and the faded Maska tag is there in the collar. Nice wear with over a hundred smaller black sticks-marks littering the lower front and sleeves and a couple of unrepaired skate slices. Pin holes show up in a few spots, evidence of former display and this one has a neat black marker signature tucked away inside the lower back hem.
