Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
A marvelous opportunity here to acquire something special from a very special building with this triple seat salvaged from Chicago's famous "Stadium". All wooden red-painted trio has been preserved in splendid, solid condition, although it appears red paint was added to the middle chair to cover up some chipped paint, with re-painting also done over the years at the stadium. The largest indoor sports facility in the world when it opened its doors in 1929, the stadium later gained the reputation as the loudest as patrons cheered on Bobby and Stan and Glenn and Tony "O" and Denis and countless others. Although we can't go back in time, sitting in these will take longtime die-hard Hawks worshippers for quite a ride! Measuring 54" in length, the ensemble awaits a big-time Black Hawks' shrine.
