Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

Intriguing old Northland Pro was used by crafty Hawks' winger Kenny Wharram while stringing together a streak of seven straight 20-goal seasons. A member of the Scooter Line with Mikita and McDonald (and later Mohns), Wharram scored a career-high 39 goals in '63-64 to make the NHL's First All-Star Team, while being awarded the Lady Byng for gentlemanly play. "Wharram" is stamped on the shaft, where two "17"s were added in black marker, while the original blackened white knob tape remains intact. A couple of wraps of black "bulldog" tape cover the cracked blade and the added white and black tape on the shaft likely covers other cracks. Still solid though and neat to lean on!
