Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Huge lot of five game-used sticks features members of the 1994 Stanley Cup champion New York Rangers, including star goaltender Mike Richter and HOFers Brian Leetch and Glenn Anderson. This collection of Blueshirts gamers also includes Adam Graves and Esa Tikkanen. Leetch's two-piece Easton Ultra-Lite Graphite stick has "Leetch" stamped on the blade insert and a large black marker signature across the front of the blade where his tape job was removed. The great American defenseman's well-worn white tape knob is intact, as are the tape jobs on each of the four other sticks. "Richter" is stamped in red on the shaft of his blue Vic gamer, which is missing a chunk out of the top edge of the paddle that also has two more substantial cracks. "Anderson" is stamped on the black shaft of his two-piece stick and on the top of his wood blade insert. Tikkanen's Koho Revolution features his distinctive shaved handle and comes with an LOA, as does Graves' white Bauer Supreme. Though these sticks are not necessarily from the Rangers' most recent championship season, they were used by five members of the squad that ended the Blueshirts' 54-year Stanley Cup drought.
