The year is 1994, and in one of the most thrilling Stanley Cup Finals ever, the New York Rangers narrowly edge out the Vancouver Canucks for the championship title! It was the first Stanley Cup championship for Manhattan in 54 years. The last time the New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup, there was no such thing as television. But, by 1994 everyone was watching to see if the Rangers could end more than five decades of futility. The 1993-94 New York Rangers were in their 68th season in the NHL, and hopes were very high as the Rangers finished with the best record in the league with 52-24-8! New York clinched the Presidents' Trophy, finishing the 93-94 season with the most points in the league, which was a franchise record of 112-points! But, the real highlight of the season was winning the Stanley Cup and hosting the NHL All-Star Game. The Rangers were making their 10th Stanley Cup appearance, and their first since 1979. The Rangers, under Coach-Mike Keenan, led New York to their first Stanley Cup Championship since 1940, ending their record 54-year championship drought with an exciting 3-2 victory in Game seven over the Vancouver Canucks, to claim the long-awaited Stanley Cup! This stunning 10 karat gold championship ring commemorates the Rangers fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history, and is identical to what Mark Messier, Adam Graves, Brian Leetch, Kevin Lowe, Alexei Kovalev, Mike Richter, Sergei Zubov, Steve Larmer, Glenn Anderson, and the rest of the team received! Crafted by world-renown Balfour, all the correct manufacturer markings are stamped inside (LGB 10K), plus the famous "1940" is engraved inside a circle, with a slash going through it! This magnificent ring is extremely hard-to-find, as it's one of the scarcest samples out there! It weighs a hefty 38-1/2 grams of solid gold, and is a Size-10.
