Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

The New York Americans continued to struggle in 1933-34, missing the playoffs for the 5th year in a row with a lousy record of 15-23-10. Following that season the cash strapped Americans would attempt to merge with the financially struggling Ottawa Senators in order to inject some revenue into a struggling franchise, but the NHL Board of Governors shot down the idea. This wonderful vintage photograph captures that team during trying times with Red Dutton, Roy Worters, Eddie Burke and Rabbit McVeigh counted among the line-up. The beautiful photograph is in excellent-plus condition and housed in the original classic cream matte and black wood frame under glass.
