Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Fantastic Ken Dryden lot of four includes a team-issued Dryden goalie stick with vintage signatures of 20 members of the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens, arguably the best team in the Habs dynasty which won four straight Stanley Cups in the late-1970s. A total of 10 members of the Hall of Fame have signed, including Dryden, Bowman, Cournoyer, Lafleur, Lemaire, Lapointe, Savard, Shutt, Robinson and Gainey. Dryden and Gainey have signed on the front of the upper handle of the shaft of Dryden's vintage Canadian goalie stick and Bowman on the back. Moving from the top of the handle, past the "29" and "Ken Dryden" stamped in blue, and on down towards the paddle, Cournoyer, Risebrough, Lafleur, Lemaire, Jarvis, Wilson and Lapointe have signed in order in fine blue marker. Nyrop, Savard, Chartraw, Tremblay, Larocque, Shutt, Lambert, Houle, Robinson and Roberts have signed in descending order on the other side. Vladislav Tretiak has signed a Dryden printed mask, one of three original memorabilia pieces from Dryden's jersey retirement night at the Bell Centre on January 29, 2007 that round out this lot, including the special career highlight four-page program produced for the evening and a mini "Dryden 29" jersey banner.
