This gorgeous gold Peter Mahovlich 1972-73 Stanley Cup ring was produced as a sample by Jostens to honor the Montreal Canadiens' 18th title. The Little M had 59 points in 61 regular season games, adding another 13 points in 17 playoff games as Montreal ran over Buffalo, Philadelphia and Chicago to claim its sixth Stanley Cup in nine seasons. This size 10 1/2" ring has a large cubic zircon set in middle of a red stone on its face. A total of 17 smaller cubic zircons surround it along with "NHL CHAMPIONS" in raised gold letters. The ring's left shank features the name "P. Mahovlich" above a Canadiens logo in red, white and blue, with "Champions" and the team's 52-10-16 regular season record below. The right shank has "1973 Coupe Stanley Cup le club de Hockey Canadien" in raised letters with an image of the Stanley Cup between the 9 and the 7. The salesman's sample number is engraved on the inside of the band which is also stamped "Jostens 14K". This remarkable ring would make a wonderful addition to any Canadiens/Stanley Cup collection.
