Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010

Truly rare Maurice Richard 500th goal ticket stubs from the Canadiens' 3-1 win over Chicago at the Montreal Forum on October 19, 1957 will tempt a broad range of collectors. This pair of Forum ticket stubs was removed from a fan's scrapbook of the Rocket's and Canadiens' 1957-58 season featuring plenty of clippings about Richard's successful bid to become the first 500-goal scorer in NHL history. The scrapbook is included and features newspaper photos of the celebration of Maurice's milestone goal on the Black Hawks' Glenn Hall 15:52 into the first period. These 500th goal game "Ouest Terrasse" ticket stubs each measure roughly 1 1/4" square and have the section, row and seat number printed along the top along with "Oct. 19 Oct." and "Forum" below. Despite tape marks and expected yellowing from aging, these historic Forum ticket stubs remain in nice shape overall. A fabulous piece of hockey history marking the NHL's first 500-goal game!
