The first edition of the Montreal Canadiens to win back-to-back Stanley Cups is featured in this splendid panoramic team Rice Studios photo of the 1930-31 Habs. After claiming the third Cup in franchise history with a two-game sweep of Boston in the 1930 final, the Canadiens defended their title the following spring with a hard-fought win over Chicago that went the limit as the 1931 final was expanded to a best-of-five. "World's Champions, Seasons 1929-1930 & 1930-1931" is printed in the middle of the white margin at the bottom of this remarkable vintage Rice print with 7 1/2" x 31 1/2" of the image displayed within a 9 1/2" x 33 5/8" wood frame. The legendary Howie Morenz is posed to the right of fellow Habs greats Aurele Joliat and George Hainsworth under the heading "Canadiens 1930-31" in the middle of this outdoor shot featuring the entire team lined up shoulder to shoulder. Lepine, Rivers, Leduc, Larochelle, Mondou, Wasnie, Gagnon, Burke, Sylvio Mantha, Georges Mantha and Lesieur are also pictured between coach Cecil Hart and GM Leo Dandurand and trainers McKenna and Dufour. "Rice Photo Montreal" is printed in the bottom right. Names and printed autographs applied to the master photograph are displayed beneath all those pictured. This rare Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup champions panoramic photo remains in magnificent, crease-free condition with no significant wear or handling to report. A real treasure for Canadiens/Stanley Cup collectors!
