Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Extremely popular items among Maple Leaf fans, these floppy vinyl records were distributed by Esso dealers during the 1966-67 season. Offered here is a complete set of 10 Maple Leafs Hockey Talks records in their colourful paper sleeves. Photos of Armstrong, Bower, Keon, Mahovlich, Horton, Pulford, Selby, Shack, Ellis and Imlach are featured on their respective front and back covers. The 33 1/3 rpm records feature personal profiles, histories and backgrounds, along with playing tips. Condition of the records is excellent, with a couple of small gouges on the No. 1 Armstrong disc the only significant flaw to note. Each of the sleeves has a band of old tape on either side of the bottom of the back cover that was presumably placed by the original owner to keep the inner record sleeve flap in place. Otherwise, the sleeves show minor handling and are in very nice condition overall, with only a couple of small pen marks at the bottom of Armstrong's cover to mention.
