Big Phil Esposito scored a grand total of 717 regular season goals over his Hall of Fame career. As the story goes, the pucks traveled only 717 feet to cross the line, a tribute to Phil's in-the-crease style of play. Phil found the twine on 61 occasions in 1974-75, adding another 66 helpers for a points total of 127. A performance as large as Phil himself! Offered is Phil Esposito's hammered black durene Boston Bruins uniform from the 1974-75 campaign. The Wilson tag sits in the neck marked size "58" in faded ballpoint and a large black marker "75" is written across the washing instructions. The two-tone number "7" is stitched onto the back and smaller numbers can be found on each sleeve. Phil's alternate "A" is no longer present, having been replaced with a jumble of stitch work to repair damage from the letter removal. Game wear is more-than-evident, with loads of interior pilling and no less than 10 bullet-style repairs to go with at least another 10 larger repair patches, fine examples of trainer Frosty Forristall's talent with a sewing machine. A peek inside the tail reveals a double fight strap made from garter belt sections and large areas of pilling, especially in behind the Bruins crest. A large square-shaped repair on the hem of the jersey is matched to a photo of Esposito in action. A spectacular example from a monster goal-scorer. Will come with a letter of authenticity.
