Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Coming off a four-season stint with the New Jersey Devils where he was the go-to-guy between the pipes, Glenn "Chico" Resch found himself in the uniform of the Philadelphia Flyers midway through the 1985-86 season. Chico saw action in only six games that year with Philly but would return for another season before retiring. This is Resch's well-used Cooper cage and mask combo, worn when he arrived in Philadelphia in 1985-86. The SK2000 shows great wear inside and out and the matching Cooper HM30 cage shows similar use. All strapping and interior padding is there and Chico's number "33" is applied to the back in white decal numerals. Obtained back in the day from Milton Byron of Byron's Hockeyland, the goalie helmet will come with his signed letter of authenticity.
