Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Classic style with heavy chenille "B" at each arm worn by netminder Neil McKinnon tending goal for the Bracebridge Bears of the Ontario Hockey Association at the Junior C level. The team, which would also boast goaltending superstar Roger Crozier among its roster in the Fifties, sported these dark woolen uniforms with the intimidating Bear crest, also in felt. Best is the large two-tone felt number "1" on the back with that classic meandering stitch for reinforcement. Tagged in the hem by Unique Crests and Sporting Supplies Ltd. of Toronto. Nice wear throughout with a few holes, a couple of runs and a number of stitched team repairs. Certainly, a sweet old wool sweater.
