Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Tremendously eye-appealing is the Topps company's initial hockey issue with its vivid red, white and blue colors. This set is not right up there condition-wise but mighty attractive and generally in crease-free shape, with the cards falling into the EX, EX+ and EX-MT grades. The Sawchuk and Worsley cards have been graded EX 5 by KSA, with the key Howe card and last card (Schmidt) slabbed VGE 4. A corner crease in the Howe and scuffing and rounded corners to Schmidt are to point out. Among the other notable cards, Delvecchio is NRMT or very close to it, while Lindsay and Stanley look to be EX-MT. Other stars and RCs are EX or EX+. Also of note are #s 1-Gamble and 29-Mickoski (both VG-EX). Other than those two, just slight corner wear really and like we said at the top, oh so eye-appealing!
