Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Better known for his executive years with the Detroit Red Wings who missed the playoffs only seven times during his 35 years at the helm, Jack Adams was actually elected to the Hall of Fame as a player. His rookie card here pictures Adams with the Toronto St. Patricks and has been graded VG-EX+ by PSA. Earlier in his career Adams won a Stanley Cup with the Toronto Arenas (1917-18), and took the PCHA scoring title, potting 26 goals in 24 games for the Vancouver Millionaires in 1921-22. A Stanley Cup triumph with Ottawa in his final season ('26-27) preceded his long post playing career reign in Detroit. One of hockey's immortals!
