Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

Outstanding Tony Esposito game-used Northland goalie stick dates from the latter stages of his brilliant HOF career with the Chicago Black Hawks. Snatched away from the Montreal Canadiens, Phil Esposito's younger brother made a name for himself in 1969-70 when he won the Calder Trophy after recording 15 shutouts, a modern-day high that stands to this day. Circa 1980 gamer has "Esposito" stamped on the front of the handle of the shaft, which has "Registered Pattern Number 9121" printed on both sides. His original tape jobs are intact, featuring white tape over a thick black knob on the butt end and black tapewrapped over large strips of white tape placed horizontally on the blade. Great display piece with great appeal for goalie/Black Hawks/Hall of Fame collectors.
