Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Assortment of 11 vintage goalie gloves from Maple Leaf Gardens offers a range of styles spanning a few hockey eras. Included are four unique blockers, six catching gloves, along with one antique black leather glove with exposed fingers and webbing that could have been used either to hold the stick or catch pucks. Circular leather cutouts are featured on Cooper-Weeks, CCM (lefthanded) and Winwell blockers while a smaller blocker has an exposed dark blue felt pad on the front. Among the six gloves is a really well-worn leather beauty whose make is no longer discernible as well as a CCM Custom Pro with a synthetic panel on the backside and "McCallum" handwritten on the cuff. Two Cooper variations, a smallish D&R and a youth's Winwell complete this lot of goalie gloves originally obtained from the Maple Leaf Gardens equipment room.
