Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
With fellow Hall-of-Famer Tim Horton as his partner on defense, Allan Stanley was a key contributor to Toronto's four Stanley Cup wins in the 1960s, including the Maple Leafs' run of three straight championships from 1962 to 64. Offered here is a game-used Stanley stick from that era featuring the HOFer's original tape job on the butt end and blade. "Stanley" is stamped on the front of this CCM Custom Pro. A portion of the edge of the shaft above where "Custom" is printed on the stick has been inexplicably shaved and the chipped bottom edge of the blade exhibits non-ice hockey use and wear. Otherwise, this Stanley gamer is intact and remains a great display piece of particular interest for any Maple Leafs shrine.
