Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
A pre-World War II era puck in a The Canadian I.T.S. Rubber Co. box is a highlight of this lot of 10 vintage hockey pucks in their original boxes, most from the 1950s and 1960s. The I.T.S. puck features smooth sides and sharp edges, as does a Northland puck that comes with its box with a detached flap. Three Monarch pucks have intact versions of both the blue and red box. The other red Monarch box has no flaps and is cut along the top and bottom edges. A Seamless puck has a round logo on its smooth side and its box is mostly intact with a couple of flaps missing. A Griffith Federal hockey puck box contains a puck with "Official" in raised script letters on its dimpled side and the underlined initials "J.B." etched on one blank face. A pair of "Official League Professional Hockey Puck" slugs with intact red and while shield boxes are also included, as well as another slug with "Professional National Official League Hockey Puck" printed in red on a round black sticker on one side which comes in a damaged box.
