Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
This ancient section of letterhead details exactly $5.50 worth of expenses totaled by rookie Bill Barilko during the 1946-47 Toronto Maple Leafs training camp. Among the items included are amounts for baggage, breakfast, dinner, taxi fees and porter tips. Written entirely in Barilko's hand and signed in fountain pen ink by the hero of the 1951 Stanley Cup playoffs at the bottom. Originally attached to a training camp expense receipt dated Sept. 21, 1946 (not included), making the pre-rookie season signature one of the earliest ever offered. From the Maple Leaf Gardens Ledgers Collection.
