Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Charlie Conacher came from a family of 10 siblings, many of whom were also gifted athletes. Few would dispute that Charlie was the best hockey-playing Conacher, although older brother Lionel and younger brother Roy are also members of the Hall of Fame. This ancient sheet of creamy paper is filled out in Charlie's handwriting and signed below in pencil. Stamped and dated 1935 when it was submitted, the receipt lists travel expenses incurred on trips between Kitchener and Hamilton, Toronto and London, Ontario. A tough signature as Chas passed away in 1967. From the Maple Leaf Gardens Ledgers Collection.
