Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
This very attractive 21" award, known as the Marshall Cup, was given to the champs of the North Dufferin Hockey League in Ontario. This beautifully-designed trophy is made of electroplated silver on white metal and has a neat engraving of a hockey player. The holders of the trophy for the 1936 and 1937 campaigns was the team from Whitfield, and a small placard denoting that fact has been placed on the base for each year. Donated by D.M. "Mac" Marshall, this trophy still retains an outstanding finish and will make for an eye-appealing highlight for any vintage hockey collection.
